In both cases the 2010 altima models have more visual presence, and there is also more differentiation between the sedan and coupe. we like the 2010 styling changes and think the altima, in both sedan and coupe form, appears more refined and upgraded in appearance. the basic profiles remain. The sedan's rear deck is distinctively short. Its fender flares are pronounced, allowing the rest of the body to be narrower and slip through the wind with less frontal area. The gap between the tires and flares looks tight, just as we like it. the headlight and taillight clusters are elaborate, almost exotic. Nissan calls the headlamp arrangement a multi-parabola, which means its coverage is all over the place. As for the taillights, nissan says they cost nearly as much as the headlamps, so don't back into anything. They're covered with clear plastic like the headlamps, and contain a silver ray-gun looking cylinder with the red lamp, plus a round white beam for the backup light, and a big orange piece for the parking lamp and turn signal. the altima coupe has the look of a pure sport two-door. There's good balance between the longish hood, greenhouse and short trunk lid, with just the right amount of sheet metal between the cleanly outlined wheel arches. This design probably increases stability at socially irresponsible speeds, but at rest it can look almost plump. Appointments range from fairly sparse to fully loaded, with no radio for the base car and bluetooth, navigation and backup camera at the top of the line. the 2010 altima coupe and sedan feature new interior enhancements. There are new fabrics for both sedan and coupe, and a revised blonde interior color. In the coupe, the gauge appearance has been changed and incorporates white illumination. The biggest interior change is the availability of the new premium audio upgrade, which includes a 4. 3-inch color display, bluetooth hands-free phone system, usb port with ipod connectivity, xm satellite radio, a rearview monitor. And other features. the overall level of fit, finish and refinement inside the altima is very good and highly competitive in the class. The available leather upholstery feels rich, and soft materials are used for touches like padded.

High performance, high practicality. introductionthe nissan altima is a roomy, comfortable, practical mid-size sedan. It's designed to please fewer people, but to please those few more intensely. in this respect the altima reminds us more of mazda's mid-size sedan, the mazda6. Both offer stand-out styling; both surrender some refinement for gains in handling response. In other ways, however, they are diametric opposites: the lean and wiry mazda is the smallest car in this class, powered by a choice of high-winding engines; while the muscular nissan tops the class in both horsepower and wheelbase and is one of the roomiest cars in the class. the altima delivers stunning acceleration when ordered with its 250-horsepower v6, essentially the same engine used in the nissan 350z and maxima. Punch it in any gear and it takes off, with nimble handling and brakes to match its thrust. The high-performance altima se-r adds 10 more horsepower and even more sports appeal. Altima's interior was redesigned for 2005, which resulted in an improved cabin. Altima also received some mild styling enhancements and a slight boost to its v6 for 2005. Air conditioning and a stereo are not included, however. The se is also available with the five-speed automatic 23,800). Cloth upholstery is standard. A leather package 3,000) includes leather upholstery, bose audio, sunroof, and heated front seats and mirrors. The sport package plus 2,600) includes the sunroof, spoiler, bose premium audio, and xenon headlights. The leather sport package 3,900) combines the leather package with the spoiler and xenon headlights. the se-r 29,550) features a 260-horsepower version of the 3. 5-liter v6, performance-tuned front struts and rear shocks, stiffer front and rear springs, thicker front and rear stabilizer bars, speed-rated 225/45wr18 tires and 18-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels. Anti-lock brakes (abs) with electronic brake-force distribution (ebd) and brake assist are standard. Unique front and rear fascias and its own rear spoiler, compact fog lights, side-sill spoilers, and large dual exhaust finishers highlight the exterior. Inside, the se-r gets sport leather seats, dark chrome trim, and a three-pod center-mounted gauge package. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but the five-speed automatic is available as a no-cost option. safety features include dual-stage frontal airbags. Optional: side-impact airbags designed to provide torso protection for driver and front passenger and roof-mounted curtain airbags designed to provide head protection for front and rear passengers in a side impact or rollover. We strongly rec. walkaroundthe nissan altima is a big car by mid-size standards, bigger than the current toyota camry and honda accord. Its wheels are pushed to the far corners, giving it a long wheelbase and wide track for stability at high speeds. The long wheelbase leaves plenty of room for passengers, and for large doors to let them in and out. cast in the style of a european sedan, the altima looks more like something from volkswagen or audi than honda or toyota. Yet the altima also has more exterior design detail than the camry or accord, with creased mirrors, integrated foglamps and other subtle cues. Altima's sloping roofline is reminiscent of a coupe. Its high trunk lid is set off by bold round taillights, turn signals and backup lights set in a triangular-shaped cover. nissan subtly restyled the altima for 2005 for a more aggressive look. The new hood looks more athletic, with a muscular bulge suggesting a powerful engine. A smoother front fascia and smoked headlamps add to the bold impression, and tooth-like ridges molded into the horizontal grille bars tighten altima's kinship with the more exotic maxima. Altima's grille is large by contemporary standards, but not the least bit awkward. altima is assembled with a one-piece bodyside structure for more consistent build quality. Altima has gained on camry and accord in exterior build quality and nissan claims panel-fit accuracy within 1. 0 mm. interiorthe nissan altima feels spacious inside and that's no illusion. It ranks at or near the top of the class in interior roominess. There's more front legroom here than in all but the largest vehicles on the road. The front seats are quite comfortable and large enough for larger bodies. Changes included a new instrument panel, a new center stack and a new center console. Seat materials, trim finishes and the headliner were upgraded and new chrome accents were added. Overall it's a vast improvement over earlier models and closer to toyota and honda levels, but still not quite there. The cloth upholstery is okay and the material used on the dash is nice, but the lids on the front of the center console are flimsy. the altima is a comfortable car, however, and driver visibility is excellent. The dashboard is set relatively low, with a binnacle directly in front of the driver containing speedometer, tachometer, and water temperature and fuel gauges. The instruments glow orange in the dark, offering less interference to night vision. The three-spoke steering wheel tilts and telescopes to help optimize driving position. The shifter on models with manual transmissions is somewhat long, with long throws. the available navigation display is located at the top of the center stack and it works well. Audio controls are mounted high on the center stack for easy access. At the top are two rows of buttons, used to control audio, trip computer, and navigation functions, with a small joy stick in the center. Heating/air conditioning control knobs lie directly below and are easy to locate with minimal distraction. air conditioning vents are flush-mounted on the dash. Seams for the passenger-side airbag are invisible, cleverly hidden in a large expanse of unembellished dashboard surface. The center console has cupholders large enough for one-liter bottles. A power port inside the center console storage area is useful for cell phones. There's an adjustable elbow rest. The parking brake is a proper handbrake, located front and center. The windows can be opened with the remote key fob (by holding down the unlock button), a nice feature on hot summer days. the rear seats are supportive and comfortable, with good legroom and sufficient headroom. A 6-foot, 4-inch passenger can sit comfortably behind a 6-foot, 4-inch drive.

Major revisions improves this full-size pickup. introductionthe nissan titan gets two noteworthy additions and a host of detail improvements for 2008, delivering more of the truck capability while taking off just enough of the tough-guy truck image to appeal to a broader range of drivers and occupants. new long-bed models have been added, and are longer than most competitors, along with more bed space, payload, and fuel capacity. inside, the 2008 nissan titan sports a thoroughly redesigned interior that is at once more attractive and user-friendly. Titans range from utilitarian models with crank windows to leather-lined cabs befitting a luxurious sport-utility. titan's proven and powerful v8 and automatic is the only choice, and it's a stout engine raced at more than twice its street-legal 317 horsepower. More than 25 variants are available. The next slot, sort of a 4wd only se derivative, is the pro-4x model with larger, more aggressive tires, off-road suspension tuning, two-tone cloth upholstery, and double sun visors. luxury characterizes the le model, which runs 20-inch wheels, fog lamps, leather power seats, a 350-watt rockford fosgate sound system, dual-zone climate control, power adjustable pedals, and chrome power folding heated mirrors. all except the xe offer a front side/side curtain/roll-sensing stability control option package. Se and pro-4x have the widest choices, from spray-in bedliner to seat choices, while navigation is reserved for pro-4x and le trucks. On crew cab se-or-better only, a moonroof and dvd entertainment are among the options. walkaroundthe 2008 nissan titan's most notable change is the new long-wheelbase variant that provides a bed length of almost 8 feet, 3 inches on king cabs and 7 feet, 3 inches on crew cabs, the biggest box on a half-ton crew cab pickup; those models also have the largest fuel tank at 37 gallons. An optional rear-view camera is available and we found it eased trailer hitching. a new center dash section for 2008 handles audio, climate, navigation, and switching duty (tow mode, vdc off, diff lock, etc.) with a slightly more integrated look. It looks better than last year's setup and more easily handles extras like the dual-zone climate control on le models. Rear doors on king cabs swing almost 170 degrees for easy access and there's room back there for six-footers on short-to-moderate length trips. It comes standard with the big v8 and a five-speed automatic transmission. Although it doesn't have as much horsepower as gm's larger v8 choices or dodge's hemi, it matches or betters most on torque and a titan will outrun most pickups and deliver competitive mileage to similar configurations; only the tundra's 5. 7-liter/six-speed automatic combination really betters it. The electric locking rear differential (pro-4x only) is more effective in severe terrain than the all-wheel electronic traction control of regular 4x4 titans and most competitors. The rear axle has also been strengthened considerably to accommodate the towing and new load ratings. pickup trucks aren't held in high regard for ride comfort or handling prowess yet they have made strides in both. The longer wheelbase only betters cruising comfort but even the short-wheelbase titans will generate no complaints, at least not from anyone that knows what a ton of payload means.
